Car insurance in Luxembourg: the insurance certificate goes digital
Since 1 January 2026, drivers insured in Luxembourg can present their motor insurance certificate directly in digital format. The paper version, which had long been mandatory to keep in the vehicle, is no longer required during a roadside check, provided that a valid, legible and up-to-date certificate can be shown.
